I’ve recently moved to Holland. I’m slowly bud steadily settling in. I’ve received a small apartment/large dorm room kind of place to stay. I have my own bath and toilet but share the kitchen (with somebody who apparently don’t believe in bacterias…).
The place is fairly nice and less than 5 minutes walk from the city center and around 5 minutes on bike from work. The place is furnished (if you can call a bad bed and a crappy disk furnished), but it’ll do for the foreseeable future. I only have on room, but also a small storage room where I’ve stored around half of my moving boxes and I don’t really have a need for the stuff inside (things like DVDs and CDs, which I have on a hard disk anyway).
Also the room comes with a 10/10 Mbit/s internet connection, which is nice 🙂

Just Moving In
On the day of moving in. Boxes are mostly just stacked without being sorted.
So it’s fairly chaotic, but luckily I did a bit of sorting while Kenneth and Christine (thank you guys!) were kind enough to move stuff from the car. The ugly as Aguilera bed linen comes with the place and is of the best Ikea quality (i.e., crap).
5 Days Later
No, it’s got nothing to do with 5/28 zombie attacks. I’ve unpacked most important boxes (not many really important since most things got lost) and put together my desk (Allen keys be damned to Pittsburg*) forever). I’ve also promoted my storage room to be a combined storage room/larder/server room.

Godt at se, at du endnu ikke har lavet house-warming 😉 Det ser da ud til at være hyggeligt og ikke mindst nemt at indrette! Jeg håber, at du får en dejlig tid i Nederlandene…. Der er da vist varmere lidt længere hen på vinteren end her? Hmmm…. Er det for at være sikker på at holde dit væddemål?
