The advantage of Dutch cuisine1) being very close to the Danish ditto is that while it may take two hours to make from scratch, I can still find the ingredients to make patty shells (tarteletter).
I must admit, though, that I did not make the puff pastry (butterdej/bladerdeeg) from scratch, though that stems more from a desire to not consciously acknowledge 50% of that is butter.
