Stelling: Kweekvlees goede ontwikkeling

If this is a success, all environmental nuts have to shut up.

Artificial meat uses 95% less space and emits 95% less CO2 than traditionally produced meat. Current meat production accounts for approximately 18% of world green house gas emissions.

The Kyoto protocol is ratified by countries responsible for less than 15% of world emissions, so even in the case that most of the western world stop breathing, eating, working and all that jazz, this is more than 2%point better than the overly expensive Kyoto protocol.

This is more or less what Bjørn Lomborg has said for ages: spending money on direct CO2 reductions with current technology is to a large extent a waste; instead fund research into better technologies than the crud we currently have.
