Yesterday, I had a conversation with a consultant from another company. He was very surprised when I said that I think “blockchain technology” is a dumb vacuous buzzword invented to milk consultancy hours out of customers.

When I explained how and why it works, and how all the dumb things can be replaced with a minimum of trust he kind of agreed. When I then pointed out that what remains is a public ledger with a digital signature he became almost disillusioned.
