Can anybody explain to me the advantage of wireless charging?

From what I can see the advantages over regular charging are:
1) death-ray spewing cancer machine (I believe that’s the technical name) instead of wire which could accidentally strangle you if you are like, really insistent,
2) instead of plugging in a convenient cable, you carefully balance your phone very snugly in just the right place, angle, and chi on a pad and pray to your designated god (Britney) it doesn’t move,
3) bigger waste of energy because entropy doesn’t just increase on its own,
4) safer if used with a cover that’s also a wallet because it erases all your magnetic stripes, so thieves also cannot abuse your cards,
5) slower charging so your phone isn’t accidentally charged and ready when you are in a hurry.
