How to use LinkedIn:

Case 1, You are a student and writing your final thesis: Add people and decorate your profile, enter a resumé, “work” “experience”, interests, endorse people, add skills, endorse skills, do whatever they added since I last logged in, etc. Invite a lot of connections.

Case 2, You are not: After getting 10-15 connection requests, go in and bulk-accept them; if you feel generous click add on a few of the suggested connections.

Funny fact: I have almost as many connections of LinkedIn as I have friends on Facebook. I lied when I said the fact was funny.
