So, I was thumbing thru the newest Women’s Health. It’s fairly obnoxious and already sent me two push notifications. So what’s inside it? On the backside of the ads, which I must assume comprise the main product, I find health related writings covering topics such as sex/relationships tips, food tips, fashion/beauty tips, “articles” comprising 3 “fun” facts, various Q&A articles on topics such as social networking and dating, advertorials, and fitness articles in just about equal amounts.

The full extent of fitness articles, as categorized by the magazine itself, are: one about Brit-Brit’s exercising, one on planking, one on making exercises yield more, one about ALS, one on hocus-pocus medicine and one about getting hammered.

From the beginning, the ad-backsides are as follows: Instructions to purchase products directly from the magazine, dating tips, information about e-cigarettes and viagra, various food recipes, relationship advise, brilliant dieting advise such as “eat carrots with your junk food” and “eat less to lose weight,” a section about fitness (really just a “funny” fact, a word definition, and an ad for spandex pants), hair dressing advise, make-up advise, 3 myths about skin-care, ads for ugly knitted hats, more clothes “reviews” (and totally not thinly masked advertorials!), finally the piece I was going for: Hollywood buzz about Brit-Brit and after that, around half-way in, I lost interest.

I don’t think I’ll take out a subscription unless they have articles about Britters in every number.
