I got my hands on a nice, real log with 50’000 traces. Using a bit of filtering, I ended up with a log with around 10’000 traces and 25’000 events and another version spanning longer time with 25’000 traces and 80’000 events. For shits and giggles, I ran it thru ProM and obtained a model (using the Transition System miner for the small log) looking a bit like this:
Now, everything is clear…
As an addendum, I can mention that I can get better models using other miners, but I probably shouldn’t post those.
