I may have spent too much mental capacity pondering questions for Quiz Night XL lately; as I was preparing a torus¹⁾ with cheese for a snack, I found myself pondering the fractal dimension of bread.

Of course, I’m not contemplating any pleb piece of real-life bread succumbing to stupid rules of quantization, but the Platonic dream of a perfectly self-similar piece of Mandelbrotian bread.

According to a publication from Harvard, it’s 2.91± 0.12. I hope it’s at the upper boundary.
