Academic spam is fricking hilarious at times. I just got a follow-up on a “personal” invitation to be lead guest editor on a special issue for a journal on evolutionary biology. Get your name on one (ok, two) papers about monkeys and you get that sort of bullshit.

Not sure whether I like that more or less than the time I was invited to submit papers about my work on “space exploration.” Which I am obviously qualified to talk about because it is a subset of “state space exploration.”
