If you thought the only music to come out of Belgium were dance/techno, think again. The past couple days, I’ve been listening a lot to K3. It’s very energetic and the lyrics are at a level where I can follow them.

A superficial textual analysis of their songs reveals that Flemish is a dialect of our noble tongue which uses the words “kusje” and “verliefd” in much the same way as French uses the words “alors” and “dis-donc” between expressions of surrender: to allow the speaker time to remember to breathe so they don’t stupidly forget and consequently droolingly smash their head into the nearest constellation of non-air molecules due to lack of oxygen.

According to the English Wikipedia, they’re one of Europe’s biggest acts and a sort-of “Flemish Spice Girls,” both of which I’d categorize as blatant lies. Still nice and energetic music that’s good for biking.
