To all the danes complaining they didn’t get the choice between cake and beatings in yesterday’s election but instead had to make a bit more of a nuanced choice between two trade-offs, remember how it went when Greece went with the populist local politicians promising they could get a tailor-made deal from the EU. Instead things went pretty much to shit for Greece during the negotiations and they ended up having to concede to a much less favorable compromise. Why should Denmark be any different?
