What’s a good program for 3D modeling for 3D printing that doesn’t sound like a gay bar in Aarhus?

I’m thinking something more advanced than Tinkercad/123Design, but perhaps with a slightly flatter learning curve than AutoCAD.

I would like to be able to create shapes using exact measurements and soften edges without putting together boxes like some drooling toddler.

(I’ve no problem with gay bars, I just don’t really like Blender 3D.)
