Breaking typeface news: aside from habit, there’s really no reason to use a monospace typeface for coding. Today, I switched from Lucida Console to Lucida Sans and the text is much clearer, prettier and takes up less space. I also gave Bright a shot, but with an el-cheapo Dell monitor, a grotesque typeface still beats one with serifs. It think I’ll set up PHP to use Marker Felt or Comic Sans to show the respect it rightfully deserves. Zapf Dingbats/Windings for Perl.
