I think you and I should get rid of all first person pluralis pronouns. They are being abused and should be replaced by more accurate combinations of first person singular and second/third person singular/pluralis as appropriate. That way “we” becomes “me/I” or “you and I” or “you.”

For example:
“We should do more for our children” becomes “You should do more for my children.”

A quick guide:
If a person uses “we” as the subject, they probably mean “you”
If a person uses “we” as indirect object, they probably mean “me”
