My AirBnB flaked out and I only had a narrow window of 2 hours to shower and to get to the venue. booking.com doesn’t have anything available, so afyer running around to two hotels (full), I had to resort to calling around and got a place where my very German “Sprechen Sie English” was answered with a no, so I managed to book a room using a mixture of not-Dutch, 20 years forgotten German and hand gestures.
