I found out why I knew so many Kate Ryan songs yesterday at the concert even though I’d never heard of her before. She was largely just doing a boatload of Mylene Farmer covers (including Désenchantée and Libertine). If Mylene doesn’t ring a bell, she discovered and produced a lot of the early Alizée numbers (including Moi, Lolita, J’en ai marre, and J’ai pas vingt ans).
