Food

I like to grow my own vegetables so I know exactly what I am eating. As I’m no damn-dirty bright-eyed naive hippie, that means loads of fertilizer and round-up, because only with modern biotech can we feed everybody, also those unfortunate enough not to be born in a rich country where we can afford the luxury to trade our own sense of feel-good for others’ famine by eating inefficiently produced food. Sure, it would be better for the environment if it were grown on an efficient factory farm by somebody knowing what they are doing, but the IKEA effect cognitive bias is real, and anyway I know the easiest way to save the environment is to lambda abstract.
